In May 1951, when Andorra was still a tiny rural country with just 5,000 inhabitants (today it has 75,000), two young Andorrans, Manel PONS TORRES and Enric BARTUMEU BITRIU, formed a little company called Pons i Bartumeu and began their activity with enthusiasm.
 
It was a little enterprise devoted to the distribution of luxury items, jewels, watches, gift articles and tableware, which grew little by little thanks to the talent and the constant honest work of its founders.
 
Today, 60 years later, these two pioneers can see how Pons i Bartumeu has not only survived the difficult periods that have arisen over the course of half a century, but has moreover become an innovative organisation that confidently takes up the challenges of our fast-changing modern world.
 
And it does so by combining tradition and innovation, rigour and flexibility, prudence and daring. It does so by pursuing total quality and customer satisfaction, anticipating trends and designs, and offering customers the best of the international luxury brands.
 
Today, 60 years later, we are what we are thanks to these two pioneers. And thanks as well to all the people who at one time or another have formed part of our organisation. And last but not least, thanks to all the suppliers and customers who have placed their trust in us.
 
We wish to pay homage to all these people through this virtual showcase, which we invite you to see and enjoy.
